Goratu UK Limited are the UK & Ireland subsidiary of Goratu Machine Tools S.A. based in Northern Spain, Goratu was formed in 1994 combining the long established manufacturing companies of LAGUN CNC Bed Milling Machines, & GEMINIS CNC Heavy duty Flat Bed Oil Country Lathes, together with LADARASA manual milling machines formally sold here in the UK for over 30 years under the AJAX brand name where over 15,000 machines were sold over 25 years.
Goratu UK are located very close to Junction 20 of the M1 at Lutterworth, Leicestershire with easy access to all Major Motorways and International Airports
Since 2001, under the leadership of Mark Randall the Goratu name continues to expand. The company now employs 6 people and since 1st July 07 operating from new prestigious offices in Lutterworth.

Goratu’s increased range of Geminis CNC Flat Bed lathes provide constructive robustness and ergonomic design. Each lathe is fitted with either FAGOR, SIEMENS or FANUC CNC controls all with simplified CNC programming systems which are very operator friendly. Models GHT 5 and above are available with Large Spindle bores up to 514mm.
The range of LAGUN CNC Bed Mills has also been recently extended to offer machining solutions to a wider range of manufacturing situations. Either with traditional traveling table GBM with heavy duty box ways with turcite, or if speed is more important, there is the COSMOS/MASTER range giving increased speed and accuracy though the use of Linear Guide Ways or the GALAXY range giving the best of both, Box way construction and roller shoes. Either way, the extensive range will have something for all machining solutions.
For heavier components, the new CM Range (based on the GBM/GALAXY column and ram) has a solid table allowing component weights of 3.5 tonne/m2.

Lagun are the ONLY manufacturer left in Western Europe building high quality manual milling machines.
